County Tipperary Lawn Tennis Club has taken a major step towards a more sustainable and cost-efficient future with the recent installation of a state-of-the-art solar energy system. Completed just last week, the project is already generating excitement among club members and management committee alike, not only for the environmental benefits, but also for the significant savings it promises on energy bills.

The installation, carried out by Home & Agri Energy, includes an impressive setup of 33 solar panels, a high-performance Sigenergy inverter, and 16kWh of battery storage. Together, these components form a robust system capable of powering the club throughout the day and well into the evening.

One of the standout achievements of this installation is its ability to support the club’s most energy-intensive feature: the floodlights. With solar energy stored and deployed efficiently, evening matches can now continue under bright lights without the worry of soaring electricity costs.

Club representatives expressed their satisfaction with both the installation process and the outcome. From initial consultation to final completion, Home & Agri Energy delivered a seamless and professional experience, earning high praise for their expertise and customer care.

Beyond immediate savings, the long-term benefits are equally compelling. The club is now on track to enjoy low to virtually no electricity bills, greater independence from the grid, and a significantly reduced carbon footprint. It’s a win-win scenario, supporting both sustainability goals and financial resilience.

This project also sets an inspiring example for other sports clubs across the region. By embracing solar energy, facilities can not only reduce operational costs but also contribute positively to environmental efforts, all while keeping their activities running smoothly.
